On Tuesday 17th November, the Glasgow City Council Planning Committee voted to reject the application by Noah for the construction of flats on the Bowling Club site!
We in the Mount Florida Community Trust are delighted with the decision. It shows that the community does have a voice, and that the Councillors are listening when a community speaks. This is an important step in the process of securing this green space for the benefit of the community. We would like to thank our four Ward Councillors, Members of our Trust, the Community Council and our supporters for all of the help and guidance we have received. This is not the work of a few but the work of many. The people of Mount Florida and surrounding communities are truly amazing and with that knowledge we can continue our work to save this historic green space for all to enjoy.
