Proposed development finally going forward to Planning Application Committee

After almost three years, the second proposed planning application by NOAH Developments is going to be considered by Glasgow City Council’s Planning Application Committee (PAC) on Tuesday 6 May..

It has taken a quite extraordinary length of time for this application to be brought forward, with delays caused by the need for additional information and refinement of technical elements of the design.

The Trust position has not changed in the intervening 34 months (!) and we have been in touch with local Councillors this week to remind them of our dedication to saving the whole green space. We have asked them to request a Hearing, which would allow community representatives to speak to the Planning Applications Committee directly. We went through this process with the first application on the site, and it was successful. It is by no means guaranteed but gives us the best opportunity for survival.

What can you do to help?
Drop a quick email to our local Councillors and the Chair of the PAC, asking them to request/consider a Hearing.

Their addresses are:

Holly.Bruce@glasgow.gov.uk
Stephen.Docherty@glasgow.gov.uk
Paul.Leinster@glasgow.gov.uk

Ken.Andrew@glasgow.gov.uk (Chair of the PAC)

Watch this space for news of a community pop-up event TOMORROW (fingers crossed for good weather!)
